Hello Survivalists! We are back with another update! Our goal for this update is to add some additional activities you guys can do, fleshing out the pvp mechanics to add a better overall experience, and of course, adding some quality of life improvements/bug fixes. The release date of update 4.6 is on Friday, March 15th. Note that some features were added once they were ready before the 4.6 update but it's worth to mention in case you did not notice any changes. We hope you can give us some additional feedback to what you want for any future updates or your opinions on the new changes. Now enough of the talking, let's get to the the update! ❖ Conspiracy Core ❖ Our core will be added to Survival in this update. This gives us additional flexibility when adding new content and helps improve the server's structure overall, including performance. ❖ Races ❖ We are introducing "Races" to Survival! Our goal with this is to add some additional depth to Survival's gameplay and allow players to have a much more unique experience when playing on the server. We will start off with 3 Races; Human, Elf, and Orc; and each one will have a unique trait/ability when chosen. The new Race system will replace our old Rankup system. You won't lose any progress though, because it's still based on McMMO for ranking up. So, if you are currently rank V, you will be able to unlock Phase V in the new system after you login and choose your /Race. Once your Race is chosen, do /rankup or /progress to "Rankup". To start out with, the perk each Race receives will be minimal. The main goal right now is to just replace our old Rankup system with something of our own that we can actually customize and expand on. Human, Elf and Orc are all pve & pvp based. The other purpose of making them effect pvp is to correct some of the bad mechanics with 1.12 combat that make fights go on an eternity. Each Race has the ability to be Reborn once they reach their Final Phase. Once you are Reborn, you can go through the Phases again as another Race, or the same one. After you have been Reborn at least once, you will qualify for the /rtop (reborntop) leaderboard, and you will receive a unique [Reborn] tag. Players who have been Reborn the most display at the top, and currently the max is two times. ❖ David ❖ Your beloved David is getting an upgrade with the new update and he'll be showing off all the tricks he has up his sleeves!... or hooves? Everyday, you can go speak to David and he might give you something nice! Don't pester him too much though, he can only hold so much in his imaginary pockets. ❖ New KoTH ❖ A new koth has been added! This koth is a little bit larger than the one on Mountain (7x7 compared to the 5x5 with Mountain) and a bit easier to reach. However beware, even though it is larger, it will still be a challenge to capture and may get you a little soaked in the end. We hope to add some variety with the additional koth being added and open up some other dynamics and designs. This allows us to be able to explore even further and allow each koth to feel different but still keeping the same idea of capturing the zone. Spoiler: Cavern ❖ Bounties ❖ You guys have wanted head drops for quite a while now, and we thought this would be a great way to add them. Bounties can be placed on any player and when that player is killed, they will drop a head worth that bounty amount. Heads with an active bounty can be sold to Sir Ulric at /spawn if you want to trade in the head for money. Commands: /bounty (player) (amount) - The minimum bounty is 50k. /bounties - Displays the top bounties. ❖ Major PvP Enhancements ❖ We have tweaked quite a few things with the PvP mechanics to fix some of what Mojang did to the combat system with 1.9. The biggest problem is probably how fast health regenerates after eating, which was something we nerfed a lot. We have added a recharge time for normal golden apples of 30 seconds, and 5 minutes for God Apples. There is also a pearl cooldown of 8 seconds. On top of this, the Race system makes up for the very low damage weapons do in 1.9+. The higher your Phase in a Race, the higher damage you do. Currently, a Race in their Final Phase has 20% boosted damage with their signature weapons. One other small improvement is the saturation, your food level will not go down as fast anymore so you don't have to constantly eat in battle. In testing with some Elite Group members, this made the PvP experience so much more fair instead of just casually eating gaps every 10 seconds and hitting people for 20 minutes. You can get dropped quick if you aren't prepared or playing good. ❖ Quality of Life Improvements/Bug Fixes ❖ Here are a list of bug fixes/minor improvements to the Server. Note that some of these may have been added pre-4.6 but we thought it would be worth the mention! If you would like to know about changes made once they're released, join the discord server we have and check the Survival category here! Private message feature has been improved. It has been made more clear and has a different color now so players will be able to separate it from the regular chat. Monster spawning limit has been returned to where it was before. We have made some small changes to the chat filter. Players can now say the word "shit" and "f***" will be replaced with frick. Don't make us regret it . MOTD has been improved and includes the current version label! Selling wool and saplings have been fixed. A lot of the chat colors & messages have been tweaked to match the server colors. Other minor bug fixes have been applied. ❖ Conclusion ❖ I think this is a great step for Survival. Jamm is glad to be focusing on this side of the server again, and hopefully we can begin expanding the wonderful community we already have. Nice, excited about that bounty thing and head drop. Perhaps more builder oriented crates would be a good thing ? Eff 6 tools and rare materials, hoppers ? More details about the races specs ?
No, mcmmo is staying. Humans are sword based, Elves are bows and Orcs are axes. It's going to be expanded on over time, and we'll add others eventually that aren't pve/pvp based.
Actually i killed using swords too, so if you can time well and do tactical cornering and swipes, humans will be good too , but yea axes win the armor dura related fights
I'm not sure if Orcs should still do the same damage or not. I mean axes do more damage than swords, but they are slower and harder to use.. So maybe it's balanced? The only problem I can see right now is if there's a team of people who are Orcs. But then again if you're alone going against a team of anything it would be challenging either way.
Well not trying to flex but Invasions map 17 is gonna be way better so take this L survival! *spams xd*
