Bring back old shop system

    Bring back the old plot system where people's shop are all close together, instead of all these seperate warps. Its more social, improves convenience and most importantly the comepetition is right next to u.
    One of the potential issues is fps lag because of the shops all being together, just make it so people have to make non laggy shops, less bullshit more shop. Besides theres enough shops in /shops that are unnecessarily laggy.

    -1 shops would be limited and If you are going to limit shit then there's no point building one. A lot of shop owners build their shop not to make it laggy but because they sell lots of items or provide lots of things it does that. If Jamm went around pulling shit like that people would genuinely be pissed. Shops would get lack of originality due to limited space. Also, how tf would we expand?

    Shops need to be kept apart. Maple is advertised as unique, with room to grow. If it were crammed in next to, say, Murica, just imagine how much lag that would cause, let alone how unoriginal and counter-productive both shops would be. Try adding another shop in. Say... Lulu or Aquamart. Then Lulu wouldn't be its own island and Aquamart wouldn't really be Aquamart. It would be like Surfacemart lol.

    What I'm trying to get at though is that the point of a multi-shop system is to have all different shops, all selling something different, all offering something different, and operating in different environments. If you crammed all the shops together they'd be too alike and unoriginal, essentially defeating the purpose of have said multi-shop system. At that logic, Jamm should just open one central admin-run shop and basically obliterate the server's economy.

    A lot of servers these days use the plot shop system we started back in 2016 and it sounds cool in theory, but in practice, it turns the shop experience into a cookie cutter one where it is difficult to actually make a profitable in-game business. There is a reason we left it in the past where it belongs.

    How it is now, players are free to be creative with their shop to stand out in ways other than just low prices. There's no dumb borders or restrictions on how you build your shop or where it is located. Sure it might be more convenient if all the shops were closer together, but it would put shop owners out of control of their customer's experience due to neighboring shops.

    The restrictions are great, forces people to cram as much shop and less laggy crap into their plot.

    If everybody's got to cram their shop in the same size then all shops would be the same, and there'd be no point in having more than one shop.

    It would probably be more laggy ngl. This map shops like murica are being a lot more server conscious when putting grinders in locations. When cramming it there's no being server conscious and you are forced to do it 1 way and 1 way only

    No, they're gonna build the laggy crap anyways it'll just be laggier due to its proximity to all the other shops.

    It's not really crap if they're passionate about doing it. A lot of shops creativity is why people shop at their shop. For example, my shop is liked by a lot of people because it has creative aspects. It can let you have a build that comes to life and not everyone wants to focus just on the shop. But also build and elaborate on the ideas. If somebody wanted that they could just go to Ernests Mall. not everybody wants to have the same design and they want their shop to be unique. Limiting that would ultimately discourage people to create a shop. Also their limited for space, and because of that their shop might even be harder to navigate. If there's limited space we'll have to be creating ladders and stuff like that and they just aren't appealing just to get where we want. A lot of shops are large so they can show their ideas and so they can expand. You were saying it's not going to lag. With 1.14 a lot of farms now exist and it will be excruciatingly laggy if that was the case imo.

    An alternative solution for this imo, is that Community Creations have given players oppotunities to share builds and ideas without it being shop, there could be a Shopping District CC and people can make smaller shops there without the hassle of huge warps. The person owning the CC could claim an entire island and grant trust for shop owners. There could be a special rule for this CC is that money to the server would still have to be paid to the server to set shop on that CC. Feel free to add to my idea or to point out any bad points in it.
