Hi all, Tonight we rolled out the enchantment improvements we've been working on for the past few days. Our goal for our enchantment system is for it to have as high of a skill ceiling possible, while still being fun for both casual and good pvp'ers. One issue with past maps of CC is that PvP has been a race to see who breaks who's armor first. That changed for the better (big time) this map with the removal of God Apples and the fine-tuning of our enchanting system. With the changes brought tonight, it's mostly just a re-mastering what we've already done and incorporating feedback we've received since the release. We've also made a few other changes with our boss system at the Crypt and general improvements. I will go over those after going over the enchantment changelog. Changes in the enchanting system: Brute max level is now 2. Brute 1 will give weakness 1 instead of weakness 2, and Brute 2 gives weakness 2. The effect is short but it occurs more often. Godsend has been added back and improved. It does not spam anymore, and it does a useful amount of damage to your opponent when they are struck. If you are wearing Godsend and it strikes your opponent, you will no longer receive damage from it. Renewal does not regen health as fast anymore. Angel now has a lesser chance of occurring. Cactus now occurs slightly less often. Lifesteal occurs slightly more often. Savior occurs less often. Divine received a slight buff. Rage now goes up faster, but maxes out at 100%. When rage is at 100%, it is doing 2x damage. Toxin was disabled after finding out that it interferes with knockback. Venom for bows was disabled because it also interferes with knockback. Drag triggers more often. It doesn't pull players as hard, though. Changes in Crypt: Bosses and low level mobs such as Goblins no longer despawn when the chunks are unloaded. Higher tier bosses notify in chat when they are spawned. Goblins now spawn consistently and are spread out instead of coming from one spot. Goblin Warriors now spawn more often. Boss names are no longer bold (looks cleaner). Other changes: The render distance was increased to 7. Hoppers now transfer 16 items per-tick instead of one. Player render distance now matches the render distance (96 blocks). The iron sell price was raised to 1. The shard sell price was raised to 4. Enderpearls can now be used in enemy faction territory. Horizontal netherrack gen buckets were added. Gen bucket prices were lowered, since it's only for 16 now and not 64. The time it takes to catch a fish was nerfed. The Hill outpost now grants a 5% damage boost instead of 10%. A dye section was added to the /shop. Ftop was changed to Coins instead of Points.
